The NBCC DTC multi-level bus depot is spread across 6,48,000 sq. ft of built-up area located in the heart of the city’s premium urban district, this bus depot reimagines public infrastructure as a civic landmark—functional, sustainable, and visually iconic. The project’s elongated façade stretches across the site like a continuous urban ribbon, carefully articulated to respond to both movement and scale. Long linear planters, integrated at multiple levels, span the length of the elevation—softening the hardscape with native greenery and creating a visual buffer. Above the green bands are CNC-cut metal screens, laser-perforated in a folded ‘barcode’ pattern. The folded geometry of the screens introduces shadow play and dimensional texture throughout the day, transforming the depot into a kinetic facade that responds to light and activity.
